"Improving the quality of the Black community by reaffirming the vitality of the Black male."
For 37 years, the men of CBMM have stood beside our youth — week after week, Saturday after Saturday. Membership is how you take your place in that brotherhood and carry the work forward.
Open to males 18 years of age or older. Candidates must be sponsored by a member in good standing or the membership committee.
CBMM reserves the right to refuse any application for just cause.
A fellowship of men sustaining this work for the next generation. There's a level of membership for every way you can serve.
For members ready to take a full seat at the table — voice, vote, and shoulder-to-shoulder service.
Step into the fellowship and serve fully in the work — with participation that doesn't extend to governance.
One commitment, a lifetime of brotherhood — full standing in the fellowship with no recurring dues.
Membership in CBMM is a commitment to one another and to the young men we serve. Here's what it offers, and what it asks.
Stand beside a young man through the Paul Robeson Institute — and stand beside seasoned members who have done this work for decades. Mentorship flows both ways.
A fellowship of men of different backgrounds and disciplines, united by one shared vision. Unity, shared goals, and mutual growth are the foundation of everything we do.
Your time and presence reach families across Greater Boston. Membership turns good intentions into consistent, week-after-week impact on the lives of young Black men.
Members and coordinators sign in to manage events, take attendance, review applications, write session recaps, and track donations.
Tell us a little about the applicant and we'll be in touch about sponsorship, the membership committee review, and the tier that fits how you want to serve. Prefer to talk first? Email the committee.
Your application has been received. We'll be in touch after review.
